Shot entirely on Hi8 tape, the nostalgic, ethereal video debut from East Coast alternative pop duo NIGHTCHRCH is a melancholic, dream-like meander through shifting states of alone-ness, steeped in the steel greys of maritime coastlines, dappled in the golden-blue light of spring.​

The video for “is there a river?” featuring intimate snapshots of places, faces and bodies (human and water) is the perfect companion to the song’s inquisitive flow. Both song and video are cut from the same internal logic: some outward manifestation of a contemplative inner dialogue, flowing in straight lines and curves, cutting through pastures of the season’s overexposed light and sorrowful chill.
